GFA is keen to support the Black Stars technical and playing staff to excel after back to back poor AFCON campaigns.

Head of Public Relations and Strategy at the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe, says the GFA is keen to support the Black Stars technical and playing staff to excel after back to back poor AFCON campaigns.
According to him, the Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo’s latest call up to Ghana’s National Football Team for upcoming 2025 AFCON qualifiers.Ghana takes on Angola on Thursday, September 5 at the Baba Yara Stadium before taking on Niger on September 9 in Morocco with FIFA sanctioning the game in the North African nation over issues concerning Niger’s readiness to host the game.Pressure is the name of the game. Everybody is under pressure. We (GFA) believe in the fact that there is still love, there is still energy towards our Black Stars. So for those who are administering the game and those who are in leadership position, we cannot see the work our 12th man, the supporters are doing and just sit in a place of comfort. No way.”We are keen to ensure, we at our level as administrators do everything we can to support the technical team, to support the players and give to Ghanaians the quality of football that they deserve, give to Ghanaians the quality of football that our talents deserve and hopefully through that combination of factors, we should be seeing a much more improved performance at the next AFCON.”
