My dream is fulfilled today - Mbappe's signing with Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappé, the recent acquisition of Real Madrid, expressed that joining the European Champions has realized a long-held aspiration.

On Tuesday, photographs emerged of a 13-year-old Mbappé with Zinédine Zidane at Real Madrid's Valdebebas training facility during his presentation.


Despite first choosing an other path by joining AS Monaco and subsequently Paris Saint-Germain, he has ultimately arrived in Madrid.

Mbappé departed from PSG during the summer as an unrestricted player, following his decision to decline an offer from Real Madrid and remain in Paris two years prior. In contrast to his previous decision, he opted not to extend his contract with PSG and instead entered into an agreement with Real Madrid, assuming the prestigious No.9 jersey.

Mbappé's presentation was postponed as a result of the European Championship taking place during the summer. Nevertheless, he was ultimately presented to a crowd of 80,000 enthusiastic supporters of Real Madrid at a fully occupied Santiago Bernabéu stadium.

"Being here is truly remarkable," expressed the Frenchman.

"For years, I have harbored aspirations of playing for Real Madrid." Today, my long-cherished aspiration has been realized. "I am an exceedingly joyful young man," he declared.

Mbappé was introduced to the audience by Fiorentino Perez, the president of Real Madrid.
"I would like to express my gratitude to Florentino Perez, who graciously received me with open arms from the very beginning."

"Despite numerous unexpected turns, I have managed to reach my current location." I would want to express my gratitude to all those who contributed to my presence here. "We have achieved it - I am now a player for Real Madrid," he declared.


Mbappe will choose the number 9 shirt, once worn by his Le Bleu colleague, Karim Benzema.
