Bryan and Ablakwa

I Dare Him to Prove that Rock City loses Money, I Will give you a house and a hotel - Bryan to Ablakwa

Bryan Acheampong, minister of food and agriculture, has promised to deliver a house and a hotel to North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa as a gift if Ablakwa can prove that Rock City Hotel is losing money.

In reaction to Ablakwa's claims about Rock City Hotel's financial situation, Acheampong issues a challenge.

According to Ablakwa's claims, records retrieved from the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) show that the Agric Minister's and Abetifi MP's company, Rock City Hotel Limited, is not suitable to acquire the profitable SSNIT hotels because it is operating at a loss.

"If he possesses evidence that Rock City Hotel has submitted its taxes for 2023 and we are incurring losses, then let him present it," Acheampong stated.

I own a brand-new, unoccupied house at Trassaco, if what you say is accurate.

This item was purchased in 2014 and will be given to him as a present. If he want to additionally give it to an NGO, I will fulfill his request, and all Ghanaians will attest to this. He spoke to Nana Yaa Brefo of Onua FM's Yen Nsempa.

Acheampong promised Ablakwa not only the property but also a substantial reward in the form of ownership of the Akosombo Continental Hotel in North Tongu, a hotel owned by Rock City, if he could establish that the city's 2023 account had losses.

That hotel belongs to Rock City, and I'll give it to him if he can prove it.

He needs to show it.

In order to justify Rock City's financial situation, Acheampong outlined the enormous size and continuous growth of the hotel.

Rock City's capacity far exceeds that of any of the hotels in Greater Accra, including the Kempinski (269 rooms), Mövenpick (260 rooms), Labadi (160 rooms), Holiday Inn (160 rooms), and Fiesta Royale Hotel (150 rooms).

We pay our taxes, he said, and Rock City already has 1,000 rooms. We're adding another 3,000.

According to Acheampong, there will be no success in thwarting Rock City Hotel's plans to become Africa's largest hotel.

He will not be able to stop us from expanding the brand internationally.

He has no power to halt what the Rock City Hotel is trying to do.

Acheampong went on to say that he was furious with Ablakwa for making what he saw as politically motivated and completely without merit.
