HONOURABLE ALFRED OBENG-BOATENG FILES NOMINATION TO RETAIN SEAT

BIBIANI ANHWIASO BEKWAI: HONOURABLE ALFRED OBENG-BOATENG FILES NOMINATION TO RETAIN SEAT 

The Member of Parliament for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency, Hon Alfred Obeng-Boateng has filed his nomination for re-election. 
The event occurred on Thursday, 12th September, 2024. Before the filing of the nomination, the MP was taken through the principal streets of Bibiani where all businesses came to a standstill. People paraded at the roadside to catch a glimpse of the member of Parliament. 

A considerable number of NPP supporters clad in party paraphernalia followed the MP for the exercise. The people expressed confidence in the MP citing numerous interventions rolled out by the NPP government.

Addressing the masses, Hon. Obeng-Boateng highlighted his track record in the constituency, including improvements in roads, healthcare facilities, educational infrastructure, farming support, and youth employment in the security services. He, therefore, called on all party members to rally solidly behind him. Many supporters present during the filing process voiced their approval of his work and pledged their support for his re-election, hoping for continued development under his leadership.

Hon Alfred Obeng-Boateng called on the electorates to support his bid for a second term, as well as to vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the presidential race, stressing that their leadership is key to the future prosperity of Ghana.

The atmosphere during the filing was charged with excitement as NPP supporters rallied behind Hon. Obeng-Boateng confident that his second term would bring even more progress to Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai. 

It is worth noting that in 2020, Hon Alfred Obeng-Boateng garnered 17591 votes difference. With this overwhelming support, a landslide victory is expected on December 7.

High-profile dignitaries at the ceremony were the MCE of Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Hon Paul Andoh, Mr. Felix Foster Ackah, Regional Secretary, Western North, Mr. Gabriel Doh, Regional Youth Organizer, Kwabena Amankwah Asiedu, Deputy Youth Organizer, and Ben Ali Seaman, Chairman of Patrons. Others were Mrs. Marian Obeng-Boateng, Mr. Williams Ofori Asuming, Constituency Executives, Electoral Area Coordinators, Polling Station Executives, and leaders of volunteer groups.
