LET DEVELOPMENT IMPACT YOUR YOUTH VOTING CHOICES - HONOURABLE ALFRED OBENG-BOATENG IMPLORES CHIRA, AKAASU AND KYENKYENASI ELECTORATES

The Member of Parliament for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alfred Obeng-Boateng, has made a strong case for the impact of voters' decisions on a country's development.

This was contained in a speech delivered at separate meetings with the Chiraa, Akaasu, and Kyenkyenasi communities. The MP  stressed that the voting decisions of a population are vital in forming the political structure of a country.   He further stated that development should be a determining factor for the selection of leaders to manage the country. Free SHS, massive road construction, Agenda 111, TVET, STEM Schools, and Digitalization should not be left out for the erratic power supply popularly known as 'Dumsor.'

"Policy positions are crucial factors in making electoral decisions", the MP remarked. He highlighted Dr. Bawumia's promise to enroll one million youth in ICT and the party's commitment to implement Free Tertiary education for people with disabilities. He condemned extreme attachment to political parties without recourse to development.

With the communities, the MP reminded Chiraa about the bituminous surfacing of the trunk road and promised to vary the contract to cover the construction of a bridge over the Suro River. The Akaasu community was also reminded about the CHPS Compound, mechanized borehole, and the ongoing construction of the road. Kyenkyenasi community thanked the MP for a mechanized borehole and requested the rehabilitation of the Basic School.

Hon Obeng-Boateng promised to attend to their needs but cautioned them not to base their decisions and choices on climate change. They should rather consider candidate characteristics and policy positions. "With these, Dr. Mohamudu Bawumia and Alfred Obeng-Boateng stand tall," he emphasized.

The Chiefs of the communities, Nana Marfo Payin of Chiraa,  Nana Adwoa Ahu II, Nana Nketiah II, and Nana Yaw Boadi II, all of Akaasu commended the MP and the government for the numerous development projects and gave an assurance of resounding victory in December.
