FREE MEDICAL SCREENING INTIATIVE

ASA

Residents of Jamestown in Accra recently took part in a free medical screening exercise organized by ASA Savings and Loans as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts. The event, held on May 29, 2025, offered comprehensive health checks to over 200 people, including the elderly, adults, and children.

During the screening, participants were tested for a variety of health conditions such as eye diseases, hepatitis B, malaria, diabetes, and cholesterol levels. Health professionals observed that eye-related issues were particularly common, alongside several cases of malaria and hepatitis B. Those who attended the event also received free medication and treated mosquito nets to help prevent disease.

The exercise was overseen by ASA Savings and Loans representatives, including Mr. Justice Korsah and Madam Glanita Agyemang, who expressed their satisfaction with the community’s response. They also reiterated the company’s commitment to supporting local health initiatives and pledged to continue organizing similar programs in the future.

This medical screening is part of ASA Savings and Loans’ wider mission to give back to the communities they serve by promoting better health and overall well-being.
