TELEGRAM AND MUSK's xAI ANNOUNCE STRATEGIC COLLABORATION

Telegram has announced a major partnership with Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company, xAI, to integrate its AI assistant, Grok, into the Telegram messaging platform. This collaboration is designed to bring advanced AI features directly to Telegram users, enhancing their messaging experience.

As part of the agreement, xAI will provide Telegram with $300 million in cash and equity. Additionally, Telegram will receive 50% of the revenue generated from xAI subscription services sold through its platform. The partnership is initially set to last for one year.

Grok, the AI assistant developed by xAI, will be embedded into both the mobile and web versions of Telegram, making it accessible to the app’s extensive user base. Currently, Grok is available free of charge to Telegram Premium subscribers.

This strategic move aims to position Telegram as a stronger competitor against other messaging platforms, such as WhatsApp, which have been incorporating AI capabilities into their services. By integrating Grok, Telegram hopes to offer users enhanced functionalities, improved interaction, and more personalized communication tools.
