Sammy Gyamfi Denies Allegations of Costly Office Furnishing Purchases Of GHS173,940

Sammy-Gyamfi

Acting Managing Director of the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC), Sammy Gyamfi, has refuted claims that he spent GHS173,940 on new office furniture and a refrigerator.

In a Facebook post on February 15, Gyamfi dismissed the allegations as “completely false,” emphasizing that he has not made any changes to his office setup since assuming his role.

“The claim by some operatives of the New Patriotic Party, who are still reeling from their historic electoral defeat, that I have replaced my office chair, desk, fridge, and redesigned my office at the PMMC at a cost of GHS173,940 is entirely untrue,” he stated.

Gyamfi clarified that all office furnishings and appliances, including his chair, desk, and fridge, were already in place before he took over as Managing Director.

“I have not altered anything in my office since I assumed duty as Acting MD of PMMC on January 20, 2025. Everything in my office, from the chair and desk to the fridge, was there before I arrived. Even the A4 sheets and pens on my desk remain unchanged,” he asserted.

His remarks come amid heightened public scrutiny over alleged excessive spending in state institutions. However, Gyamfi insists that such reports are baseless and misleading.
