PARLIAMENT TO RESUME

PARLIAMANT

Ghana’s Parliament is scheduled to reconvene on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, marking the beginning of the Second Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic. This was officially announced by the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, in accordance with Order 58 of the House’s Standing Orders. This order requires that Members of Parliament (MPs) be formally notified about upcoming sessions.

The sitting will commence at 10:00 a.m. at the Parliament House in Accra. Lawmakers are expected to return from recess to engage in key parliamentary duties. These include deliberations on national matters, reviewing and passing bills, as well as considering reports from various parliamentary committees.

The resumption of Parliament is an important part of the legislative calendar, as it enables the House to continue its role in shaping policies, scrutinizing government activities, and representing the interests of the Ghanaian people.
