Gov’t Dismissed Kwadwo Gyamfi Osafo-Maafo with immediate effect as NCA Cyber Security Director

 

The Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovation has officially dismissed Kwadwo Gyamfi Osafo-Maafo from his role as Director of Cyber Security at the National Communications Authority (NCA), effective immediately.

Osafo-Maafo, son of former Senior Minister Yaw Osafo-Maafo, was removed as part of ongoing administrative restructuring within the ministry.

In a letter dated February 14, the ministry formally notified him of the decision, stating:

"I write to inform you that the Minister of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations has terminated your appointment as the Director of Cyber Security of the National Communications Authority, effective immediately."

The directive also instructed him to transfer his responsibilities to the Acting Director-General of the NCA:

"You are directed to hand over your duties to the Ag. Director-General of the National Communications Authority."

As part of his severance terms, Osafo-Maafo will receive three months’ salary in lieu of notice.
