GRIDCO ANNOUNCE PLANNED POWER OUTAGE IN PARTS OF ACCRA ON SUNDAY FOR MAINTENANCE

The Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) has announced that it will carry out planned maintenance work at the Mallam Bulk Supply Point on Sunday, May 18, 2025. The exercise is scheduled to take place between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

According to GRIDCo, this maintenance activity is part of efforts to improve the quality and reliability of power supply to consumers. As a result of the work, several communities in Accra will experience temporary interruptions in electricity supply during the stated period.

The areas expected to be affected include:

  • Sowutuom
  • Ablekuma
  • Tarbora
  • Joma
  • Manhia

  • Aynaa
  • Boartianor
  • McCarthy Hills
  • Mandela
  • Sunda Industries
  • Tuba
  • Dunkonaa
  • Dansoman

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), which distributes power to consumers, has apologized for the inconvenience the outage may cause. It assured residents and businesses in the affected areas that power will be restored promptly after the maintenance is completed.
