The Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) has been petitioned to launch an investigation into alleged acts of corruption involving Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to the petition, Gyamfi is suspected of living a lifestyle that appears disproportionate to his known sources of income. The complainant is urging CHRAJ to scrutinize the origin of Gyamfi’s assets and determine whether they were acquired lawfully.

The petition also requests that CHRAJ examine whether his current standard of living aligns with his declared earnings and financial statements.

As of now, CHRAJ has not commented publicly on the matter, and Gyamfi has not issued a response to the allegations.

This petition has drawn attention due to Gyamfi’s outspoken stance against corruption, especially in his frequent criticisms of the current government over various alleged scandals, including the Agyapa Royalties agreement, the PDS controversy, and the SML contract.

The result of any probe by CHRAJ could influence both Gyamfi’s political future and ongoing discussions about transparency and accountability in Ghana.
