The inauguration ceremony, held on May 6, 2025, in Accra, signifies a renewed commitment by the government to promote youth development and empowerment throughout the country.

The new board is expected to offer strategic direction and oversight to the NYA, ensuring its programs align with national youth development goals. This initiative reflects the government's dedication to tackling key issues facing young people in Ghana, such as unemployment, skills acquisition, and civic engagement.

The Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment highlighted the board’s crucial role in advancing the NYA’s mission of coordinating youth-focused programs and initiatives. It is hoped that the board will bring fresh perspectives and innovative strategies to enhance youth participation in national development.
