Ghana has successfully reduced malaria-related deaths by over 97% between 2014 and 2024. This achievement was celebrated during the 2025 World Malaria Day event, where Health Minister Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, represented by Ghana Health Service Director-General Professor Samuel Kaba Akoriyea, acknowledged the country's progress and ongoing efforts to eliminate malaria.
