Formal President John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has praised his running partner, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, calling her "a remarkable individual" who will spearhead efforts to restore Ghana's economic and social fortunes.

According to him, Professor Opoku-Agyemang possesses a sterling reputation for being polite, knowledgeable, modest, caring, and attuned to the needs of everyone.

In addition, Mr. Mahama praised his running mate for his honesty and reliability.

During their Tuesday courtesy visit to the Central Regional House of Chiefs, the NDC flagbearer lauded Prof. Opoku-Agyemang for her many admirable qualities.

According to Mr. Mahama, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang spearheaded a program that brought about a sea change in Ghana's educational system and opened doors for innumerable young Ghanaians without resorting to propaganda.

He mentioned that the education sector saw the building of more than 2,000 schools across the country during her tenure as minister. These schools included classroom blocks, teacher housing, and school desks and tables. As a result, there were fewer schools that were held under trees. He also mentioned that she made the basic school a better place to learn.

The progressive free education system, which was instituted in accordance with Ghana's 1992 constitution, was also credited by Mr. Mahama to Prof. Opoku-Agyemang. According to him, she was the Education Minister when the model E-Block Community Day Secondary Schools were first established, and she also made great strides to eliminate the shift system from elementary schools.

Professor Opku-Agemang, he said, oversaw the elimination of the quota system at the Colleges of Education and the automatic posting of teachers without licensure examination barriers, all of which contributed to a significant rise in enrollment.

A leader with high moral standards, incorruptible, and steadfastly patriotic throughout her service to Ghana, Prof. Naana Jane stands head and shoulders above her peers. "She brings decades of experience to the Vice Presidential office along with wisdom, tact, passion, integrity, and experience," Mr. Mahama stated.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang has pledged to work tirelessly to guarantee the NDC's triumph in the general elections scheduled for December 7, and she has stated that she does not take Mr. Mahama's faith in her lightly.

The head of the Central Regional House of Chiefs, Odeefo Amoakwa Buadu VIII, has praised the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for choosing a native of their area to be his running mate. He has also called on the NDC to assist in the development of the region after Mr. Mahama's victory in the general elections on December 7.
