Members of the Kwahu Afram Plains Drivers Union are demonstrating against what they see as the neglect and denial of a good road network on the part of the management of "Volta lake Transport Company Limited," local legislators and district chief executive officers, and President Nana Akuffo Addo.
Part of Ghana's "FOOD BASKET" is the Kwahu Afram Plains, but the roads there are in such a terrible condition that they pose a "serious risk to both health and safety." Locals have complained to authorities about the terrible roads in the area, but so far, they have received no response.
