Teachers in Attafuah Senior High Technical School in the Birim Central Municipality of Eastern Region have expressed displeasure over embargo put on about eight teachers salaries by the headmaster due to their continues absenteeism during teaching periods.

According to some teachers who have been able to gather courage to lament their grievances to the media, have divulged that the headmaster of Attafuah SHS; Mr. Francis Koomson Barnes has put embargo on about eight teachers with no laudable reasons. 

They revealed that the school has been witnessing horrible happenings under his watch which everyone in the school is afraid to voice it out but he still has the effrontery to put embargo on some teachers salaries for absenteeism.

They have therefore called on the Birim Central municipal Education Directorate and the Ghana Education service to as a matter of urgency call the headmaster to order before they take an illegal action on him.

The headmaster of Attafuah Senior High Technical School; Mr. Francis Koomson Barnes speaking to the media has debunked all the allegations against him and added that he is only applying appropriate measures to ensure that the school runs smoothly. 

He also added that he has forwarded everything concerning the happenings in the school to the Birim Central Municipal Education Directorate hence he will plead with parents and students not to panic because the issue wouldn't interrupt teaching and learning in the school.
