Bats takeover Nyapienya District Assembly Primary School - Near closure

Hundreds of bats found their way into Nyapienya District Assembly fircung the School facility, forcing it to clossure at  Osudoku in the Greater Accra Region.

The School authorities said the bats have found their way into the campus through a vent or some other form of openings.

Nyapienya District Assembly Primary School authorities says they noticed few bats within the last couple of months ago but didn't realize how severe the bats colony was until now.

The School authorities said it was in the School's interest to temporarily close the School. 

The School authorities want to make sure that they remove and that the cleanup is all taken care of so that the children can be safe and back to school and learn.

The Nyapienya District Assembly Primary School use cement as tables and the situation is negatively impacting the quality of education. 

Nyapienya District Assembly School is therefore calling on the government to intervene by providing them furniture swiftly.

The School does not have windows, chalkeboards, and the dirty floors expose pupils to some health hazards.

The School pupils, students who sit on the bare floor to study use cement blocks as benches and tables.

Some school children who shared their sad ordeal called on the Government, Member of Parliament, Hon. Linda Akweley Ocloo, DCE, Hon. Fred Offei Twum to support the school and provide them with pieces of furniture.
