This move is aimed at modernizing the way waste is collected, processed, and disposed of, while also promoting environmental sustainability and job creation.

Key Project Highlights

Governor’s Remarks

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu emphasized the urgency of reforming waste management in a state that produces about 13,000 tonnes of waste every day. He stated that the new infrastructure would allow for the complete shutdown of the Olusosun dumpsite, which has been a longstanding environmental challenge.

Strategic Vision

The partnership reflects Lagos State’s broader commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable urban development. By integrating modern technology and strategic planning, the initiative is expected to set a benchmark for waste management practices in Nigeria and beyond.
