Operation MTN Boycott:

Tomorrow, December 1, 2023, is the planned commencement date of the MTN boycott operation. The fix Ghana now 2023 members organised this boycott effort.

The rise in data rates from MTN Ghana gave rise to the MTN operation boycott. MTN released a statement a few days ago that went into effect on November 28, 2023. This statement addressed the rise in MTN goods, which includes higher data charges.

Check out their statement below;

“Dear Valued Customer, kindly be informed that effective 28th November 2023, the prices of MTN products will revise upwards due to the increased operational costs. Continue enjoying our special offers on our network”

All MTN subscribers throughout the nation received this message. Regarding this communiqué, as of right now, 17.79 MB correspond to GHC 0.5, 23.57 MB correspond to GHC 1, and 349.24 MB correspond to 3 Ghana cedis.

The folks behind the #OccupyJulorbiHouse demonstration offered their thoughts on MTN's present predicament. The majority of people in Ghana use MTN on a daily basis.

An operation has been launched to boycott MTN effective tomorrow, 1st December 2023 3am to the next morning.

FIX Ghana Now 2023 posted a Facebook post that includes the operation's date and timing. Raising awareness and putting pressure on MTN Ghana to change their data packages for Ghanaians is the intended outcome of the operation. Currently, purchasing data on MTN Ghana is quite costly and does not last very long.

As usual, some online users voiced their worries about this boycott initiative.
