HONOURABLE ALFRED OBENG BOATENG URGES WOMEN TO PRACTICE SOUND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

Honourable Alfred Obeng-Boateng, MP for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai has exhorted women to practice sound financial management by investing, saving, and reducing frivolous spending to support their livelihood and trade.

The assertion was made at the launch of "Confident Ladies", a women's empowerment group aimed at building confidence and general self-esteem of women to boost the nation's drive towards women's empowerment.

Women's wealth is rising globally. As a result, more women are managing their finances than ever. Despite being reported as better investors, only 36% of women are investing in general, as opposed to 63% of men. "When it comes to building your savings, it is important to feel confident and empowered", Hon Alfred Obeng-Boateng reiterated.

Hon. Alfred Obeng-Boateng, an entrepreneur and a legal practitioner, appealed to the women to desist from unnecessary expenditures and save money to expand their businesses.

He assured the women that together with the MCE, Hon Paul Andoh, they would provide the enabling economic environment for them to progress and prosper in their businesses.

He further promised his continuous support for the constituents and called on them to support him and Dr. Mohamudu Bawumia to help make Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai one of the best constituencies in Ghana.

Mrs. Marian Obeng- Boateng, the wife of the MP was honoured with citation for her pivotal role and support for the organization.
