Allow the players sufficient time - Otto Addo discusses his young Black Stars team

Otto Addo, head coach of the Ghana national team, has pleaded with Ghanaians to be patient with the young players on the squad. He thinks they'll require more playing time to gel as a unit and learn each other's strengths and weaknesses.

At a news conference held on Monday, June 10th, in Kumasi's Baba Yara Stadium, Addo made these remarks after Ghana's exciting 4-3 triumph over the Central African Republic.

Adding, "I hope Ghanaians give us time," was Addo's statement. The players will be given a break and new coaching concepts following this, so it's always a challenge. On my part, I shall have alternative suggestions.

This is challenging for me because I am continuously thinking about how to out-analyze my opponent. How our opponents perform in the upcoming game will also influence our strategy, he added. Although they are still young, the players will develop and become more versatile. Over time, they will hone their situational awareness and decision-making skills.

At Baba Yara Stadium, Jordan Ayew scored three goals, making him the game's most impressive player. In addition, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku scored a goal.

Otto Addo knows the younger players need time to acclimate to playing together, especially because Thomas Partey and Ayew are among the few veterans on the present team.

After four games, Ghana has accumulated nine points and is presently leading Group I.
